Job summary

SECO Lighting, Inc. seeks a Lead Controls Solutions Specialist to act as the highest-level technical authority for lighting controls. You will lead complex projects, provide field support, and mentor a team of Controls Specialists.

You will collaborate with sales and engineering, review designs and documentation, and drive improvements in controls processes, standards, and tools. Willingness to travel to job sites and maintain a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in lighting controls or building systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of lighting controls, system integration, and energy codes.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
• Strong communication, project management, and decision‑making skills.
• Advanced technical proficiency with controls platforms and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for lighting control systems.
• Lead design strategy and execution for large, complex, or high-profile projects.
• Provide guidance and oversight to all Controls Solutions Specialists.
• Collaborate with sales leadership on project strategy and opportunity development.
• Review and approve complex system designs, quotations, and documentation.
• Act as escalation point for advanced technical and project issues.
• Lead coordination with manufacturers and key partners.
• Provide on-site field support, commissioning assistance, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Develop and deliver advanced training programs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in controls processes, standards, and tools.
