Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 500 hours of lifeguarding experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Current ARC Lifeguard Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
• Lifeguard Management certification by time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifeguard staff to ensure patron safety and surveillance.
• Supervise assigned staff in the absence of the pool manager.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures; rescues swimmers as needed.
• Administer minor first aid and report safety incidents.
• Ensure equipment and facilities meet health and safety standards.
• Assist in maintenance of water quality and pool systems.
• Coordinate staff rotations and breaks during public hours.
• Provide safety briefings to staff and the public.
