Job summary

The City of El Paso Texas is seeking a part-time pool attendant to support daily operations at local swimming facilities. Under general supervision, you will handle fees, maintain records, monitor activities and enforce safety rules.

Must be at least 16, and have ARC First Aid, CPR, and AED for the Professional Rescuer by hire, with mobility within a pool environment. This role is a part-time contract position with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age by time of hire.
• American Red Cross (ARC) First Aid, CPR, and AED for the Professional Rescuer Certifications by time of hire.
• Mobility within a swimming pool environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive swimming pool fees from patrons.
• Prepare daily reports, as required.
• Maintain records concerning learn to swim classes and facility rentals.
• Clean dressing areas and pool area.
• Assist in monitoring pool activities.
• Enforce swimming pool safety rules and regulations.
• Receive and respond to in-person and telephone inquiries and requests from the public and City employees.
• Perform pool opening and closing procedures.
