Job summary

Patreon seeks a senior lifecycle marketer to own strategy and roadmaps across fan and creator audiences. You will define frameworks, journeys, and channel orchestration, and lead Braze-powered multi-channel campaigns while ensuring data quality and compliance.

You will shape the marketing technology agenda, govern platforms, and mentor a growing lifecycle team, with in-office days in New York or San Francisco.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in lifecycle, CRM, retention, growth, or a related field.
  • Experience owning complex programs at meaningful scale.
  • Experience building and owning lifecycle strategy, operating rhythms, journey architecture, measurement, and technical foundations.
  • Hands-on Braze experience, including canvases, segmentation, triggers, personalization, experimentation, channel configuration, and platform governance.
  • Technical fluency in event taxonomies, identity and profile architecture, integrations, APIs, data pipelines, source-of-truth fields, data freshness, and suppression logic.
  • SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Iterable and platform migrations is a plus.
  • Ability to understand fans, creators, communities, and two-sided ecosystems.
  • Ability to make consequential decisions about prioritization, audience risk, channel health, and launch readiness.
  • Ability to align senior stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • High standards for copy, targeting, user experience, and operational quality.
  • Ability to coach teammates and partners and help build a growing lifecycle function.
  • Ability to work in-office two days per week in New York or San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Own Patreon’s lifecycle strategy and roadmap across fan and creator audiences.
  • Define audience frameworks, lifecycle moments, journey architecture, channel strategy, orchestration, personalization, and prioritized use cases.
  • Develop fan and creator lifecycle opportunities, initially prioritizing the fan lifecycle.
  • Design, write, build, QA, launch, and optimize multi-channel campaigns and automated journeys in Braze.
  • Lead the marketing technology agenda, including Braze roadmap, platform configuration, integrations, data requirements, vendor relationships, and investment cases.
  • Own audience and data quality, including source-of-truth attributes, data freshness, suppression logic, targeting, and personalization.
  • Establish the lifecycle operating model covering intake, prioritization, planning, build, localization, QA, approvals, launch, and post-launch.
  • Own deliverability, frequency management, audience overlap, consent, unsubscribe requirements, compliance readiness, send safeguards, and incident response.
  • Define KPIs, build or commission dashboards, design experiments, synthesize results, and improve programs.
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from ambiguous problem through launch and measurement.
  • Provide lifecycle expertise, self-serve guidance, reusable systems, coaching, and roadmap influence.
  • Document architecture, processes, risks, and learnings; improve team capabilities and help define future roles.
  • Apply AI to journey design, audience development, QA, analysis, and workflow automation with appropriate safeguards.
