COUNTRY Financial is seeking an experienced underwriter to analyze life insurance applications and assign proper risk classifications within underwriting guidelines. You will review medical, occupational and financial information to determine the right requirements and classifications.
In this role, you may approve, modify or decline applications for life, disability and long term care insurance and will assist financial representatives with application requirements and timelines.

Analyzes life insurance applications written by financial representatives in all sales regions and assigns the proper risk classification to them within general corporate underwriting guidelines. Reviews information concerning a proposed insureds’ medical, occupational, financial, avocational and lifestyle to determine if additional information is needed to properly classify the risk; exercises judgment to approve, modify or decline new life insurance applications and reinstatement applications for life, disability and long term care insurance; assists financial representatives in determining proper application requirements and communicates on the status of each application and any additional requirements needed to place applications in the most favorable risk classification.
Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
$77,600-$106,700
The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
