Job summary

Vast Space LLC seeks a Senior Life Support Systems Engineer in Long Beach to focus on environmental and thermal control systems for artificial-gravity space stations. This full-time position offers an engaging environment to drive innovative design and ensure system reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with fluid or environmental control systems or components.
• 3+ years of hands-on hardware experience performing fabrication, assembly and/or testing.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of environmental and thermal control systems.
• Lead design reviews with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ensure manufacturability and reliability of designs.

Skills

Proactive problem-solving skills

Ability to perform trade studies

Solid understanding of GD&T

Experience with structural analysis methods

Experience with rotating machinery

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science

Master's degree in engineering
