GBA in Lenexa, KS (or Boulder/ CO with travel) seeks a Senior Project Manager for its Life Sciences group. Lead multi-discipline teams on biotech/pharma facilities, manage client relationships, and drive projects from design through commissioning. 10+ years’ experience and PMP preferred, with flexible on-site and travel as needed.

The role emphasizes leadership, planning, and coordination across engineering, architecture, and commissioning disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, construction management or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience managing multi-discipline building design projects and teams.
• PMP certification is optional but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage key client relationships, business development and marketing support.
• Develop internal staff skills through project management training.
• Create long- and short-term plans with milestones and deadlines.
• Identify and address issues affecting project performance.
• Lead meetings with all disciplines and stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks to team members and make effective progress decisions.
• Coordinate multiple units to keep project actions in sync.
• Provide innovative design, construction, startup and commissioning solutions.
• Direct projects ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, schedule and cost.
• Work remotely as needed and perform quality control throughout the project.
• Present project updates to executives and steering committees.
• Guide development of standardized project management processes for the GBA network.
