You will draft, negotiate and manage master services and consulting agreements from templates, coordinate with legal counsel, and ensure compliance while handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Requires California Paralegal Certificate or ABA-approved program.
• 5+ years of experience supporting life sciences companies as a paralegal.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; superb emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review various agreements including commercial agreements, master services agreements (and related scopes of work), and consulting agreements from templates for Ionis’ core business units
• Manage the negotiation and revision process to conclude agreements as efficiently as possible while meeting client needs and safeguarding Ionis’ interests
• Monitor and track continued compliance under executed agreements
• Build and foster relationships of trust with the legal team, internal stakeholders and external parties
• Answer internal questions about executed agreements
• Other duties as assigned
