Job summary

Guidehouse’s Life Sciences practice seeks a Senior Consultant in New York to deliver data-driven solutions for pharma, biotech, and medical device clients. You will lead data management, build predictive models, and coach engineers while partnering with clients to implement analytics-enabled strategies.

You will work with large health datasets, applying SQL, Python, and cloud platforms, translating technical work into business insights with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in quantitative field or related discipline.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant consulting or pharma/biotech experience.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry and drug development/launch.
• Ability to analyze complex information and present data-informed stories.
• Excellent communication to convey technical results to senior management.
• Experience with large health data sets and analytics environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve predictive models for outcomes, efficacy proxies, and forecasts using stats and ML.
• Perform advanced analytics on big datasets (claims, payer, sales, EHR).
• Document processes, map workflows, and train business teams on techniques.
• Build internal tools and automate data workflows to accelerate delivery timelines.
• Coach data engineers and ensure high-quality client deliverables.
