Job summary

Design Group in Los Angeles is seeking a Sr Project Manager to lead capital projects from concept through start-up, collaborating with clients, engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

You will manage project deliverables, coordinate with authorities, and drive risk management across pharma/biotech and industrial sectors. A BS in engineering and strong leadership are required; PE/RA licensure preferred. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant project management and engineering experience executing capital projects.
• Experience overseeing design projects including facility systems, clean rooms, and process systems.
• PE licensure or RA licensure (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage facility MEP design/bid/build projects for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advanced technology, and other industrial operations.
• Lead project and design efforts from concept design through start-up.
• Oversee plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, designers, and other professionals.
• Facilitate site and infrastructure design and construction; solve design problems.
• Manage client communications and expectations.
• Control project timelines, budget, scope, change, and risk.
• Coordinate with AHJs; ensure building code compliance.
• Interface with construction/site managers to resolve coordination issues; assist with value engineering.
• Prepare proposals and participate in sales presentations.
• Travel for project requirements and meetings.
