Qualifications

• 5+ years of Life & Health Underwriting experience.
• FLMI and/or FALU designation, or active progress toward earning one.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for assessing complex risk factors.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled underwriting tools and digital resources.

Responsibilities

• Apply disciplined, evidence-based risk selection across medical, non-medical, financial, product, market, and governance considerations.
• Escalate complex or unusual matters and apply guidelines in a commercially sound way.
• Partner with clients and internal cross-functional teams to provide underwriting expertise for projects.
• Promote Life Guide and stay current on updates to help clients apply guidance
• Participate in client underwriting seminars, webinars, thought leadership discussions, and industry engagement
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of core insurance products, regulations, taxation, and underwriting tools
• Travel as needed for internal meetings and client engagements (approx. 10% or less)
