Job summary

HarborChase of Boynton Beach is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to create and oversee engaging, person-centered activity programs for residents. You will lead LE coordinators, work with care teams, and partner with families to enhance quality of life.

The role emphasizes dementia care, volunteer recruitment, staff training, and calendar development while ensuring safety and budget adherence in a senior living community.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
• Training as certified activity director, recreational, music, or therapist preferred.
• Minimum of one-year experience in a senior care community.
• Experience working with Dementia residents.
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and training preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Develops meaningful and purposeful activity programs to enrich residents' lives and families.
• Develops and implements monthly activities calendar based on therapeutic scope.
• Promotes and maintains Family Partnership Program with volunteers and community groups.
• Oversees LE coordinators and care managers to ensure quality daily living experiences.
• Completes Person Centered Care forms to tailor programs to residents’ interests and histories.
• Promotes Parallel Program model through calendar development and staff/volunteer participation.
• Maintains data collection and weekly reports to track resident engagement.
• Provides a forum for residents and families to share ideas and concerns.
• Ensures residents participate in activities of interest and remains within budget and safety guidelines.
• Maintains equipment inventory and encourages cross-department collaboration.
• Adheres to Safe Return program and supports all safety initiatives.
