MediLodge of St. Clair is seeking a Life Enrichment Director (Activities) to design and implement activity therapy programs for a diverse resident population. You will assess residents, develop personalized activity plans, and document outcomes to improve quality of life.

The role collaborates with therapy and social services, coordinates speakers and trips, and oversees staff to sustain meaningful community activities within a long-term care setting.

Formación

• BS in Recreation Therapy preferred or Bachelor's degree in human services with relevant experience.
• Certification as Activity Director or OTA with relevant experience.
• Two years of experience in social or recreational programming within healthcare.
• Must have completed 6 college credits including English and management or arts courses.
• State-specific certification may be required for certain positions.

Responsabilidades

• Performs comprehensive assessment for each resident to determine level of abilities and interests.
• Develops individualized activity programs based on findings to meet resident needs.
• Completes MDS, RAPS in a timely manner using observation and assessment tools.
• Documents resident response to care plans and evaluates activity care plans for effectiveness.
• Develops and maintains a budget to support equipment and supplies for activities.
• Uses biopsychosocial model to create meaningful activities for individuals.
• Active Interdisciplinary Team member; uses models like music, pet, aromatherapy therapies.
• Arranges speakers, advocates, and clergy to interact with residents.
• Coordinates off-site activity trips when appropriate.
• Develops community volunteer efforts and fosters center community.

Educación

BS in Recreation Therapy preferred

Bachelor’s degree in human service field, with relevant experience

BS in Occupational Therapy, with relevant experience

Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant, with relevant experience

Associate degree in human service field, with relevant experience

Certified Activity Director (NCCAP or state-specific)

High school diploma or equivalent with related experience; 6 college credits
