Qualifications

• Must be licensed or registered by the State and eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program is acceptable.
• Occupational therapist or assistant qualifications are valid.
• Completion of a state-approved training course is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and develop care plans for activities.
• Engage staff, volunteers, and visitors in activities.
• Escort guests to and from activities.
• Post monthly activity calendars.
• Manage Activities Assistants to facilitate engagement.
