Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Life Enrichment Assistant to support planning and execution of resident life programs, addressing social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs. You will proactively interact with residents and promote participation in community events.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong English communication, and the ability to work with seniors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Activity Certification is preferred.
• Minimum of one year working with senior population preferred.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) in English, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to speak effectively to groups of residents and others.
• Basic typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Publisher, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to drive residents to outside activities using Primrose Van.
• Enjoys working with and building rapport with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute creative life enrichment programs for residents.
• Interact proactively with residents and encourage participation in activities.
• Coordinate monthly special events at the community.
• Organize outings within the local city or town.
• Decorate the facility for special occasions and events.
• Find volunteers and maintain the resident volunteer program.
• Distribute monthly life enrichment schedules and post them for reference.
• Acknowledge residents’ birthdays and special accomplishments.
