Grand Villa of Port Charlotte is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to enrich the lives of our residents. You will design and lead engaging programs that promote physical activity, social interaction, and cognitive engagement through music, crafts, and games.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors, including those with cognitive limitations.
• Knowledge of activity planning using music, arts & crafts, and games.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities for cognitive stimulation and physical activity.
• Incorporate music, games, arts, and crafts into daily programming to enhance well-being.
• Assess residents' interests and abilities to tailor activities to individual needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with staff and family to align activities with care plans.
• Maintain activity supplies and ensure safety during activities.
