Job summary

Eden Heights of Olean, part of Premier Senior Living, seeks an Activities Assistant to plan, organize, and direct activities that entertain, exercise, relax, and support residents’ needs. You will help residents engage socially, pursue hobbies, and maintain well-being within policy and budget.

You’ll report to the Life Enrichment Director and collaborate with staff to create a monthly calendar, recruit volunteers, and maintain records of participation and progress toward care plan goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in activity programs for adults preferred.
• Excellent creativity and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Life Enrichment Director to plan, organize, and implement activities that meet social, emotional, physical and therapeutic needs.
• Initiate and promote activities inside and outside the community while ensuring resident safety.
• Coordinate and verify assistance for activities and events as necessary.
• Maintain scheduling and documentation standards in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Involve the community (clubs, groups, organizations) when planning activities and events.
• Keep detailed records of programs and participation, tracking progress toward care plan goals.
