Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Sr. Licensure & Certification Specialist to support the Director and L&C department. This remote-centric hybrid role involves renewal of licenses, enrollments, and regulatory reporting for ambulatory surgery centers nationwide.

Ideal candidate has an associates degree with 5+ years of healthcare licensing experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Word/Adobe Acrobat. Strong communication and discretion are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Experience drafting Medicare 855B and Medicaid applications is preferred.
• Excellent PC Skills including Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat experience.
• Ability to type proficiently to correspond with licensing, legal and company representatives and record license information.
• Read and understand legal language and state statutes/regulations and convey it clearly.
• Ability to interface and communicate with all levels inside and outside the company.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Renew state and federal licenses for ambulatory surgery centers (state licenses, DEA, CLIA, lab permits, pharmacy, radiation, blood bank, controlled substances).
• Handle Medicare, Medicaid enrollment and Railroad Medicare/Tricare.
• Report changes to licensing agencies, Medicare, Medicaid and accreditation bodies.
• Maintain regular contact with state/federal agencies and internal departments.
• Ensure timely turnaround of license renewals, changes and revalidations.
• Work independently with agencies and legal representatives.
• Develop policies and procedures for the department.
• Coordinate with L&C staff on other projects.
• Maintain regular attendance.
