Job summary

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is seeking a License and Permit Specialist IIPosting No.: 0805-26. This role handles complex licensing applications, fee processing, and data management in the Licensing Division.

The incumbent will interpret regulations, provide public information, and support staff with training and process improvements. Two positions are available, with a salary around $51,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED is required.
• Three years of licensing examination/issuance experience OR five years of admin support experience.
• An associate degree or 60 college hours may substitute for one year of licensing experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and agency databases such as Tulip or Versa is required.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and process the most complex license applications and fee payments.
• Input applications, generate letters of incomplete application and monitor status.
• Prepare and maintain records with sufficient detail for tracking.
• Explain and disseminate information about laws, policies and procedures.
• Train staff and update standard operating procedures.
• Develop new licensing forms and databases and assist in drafting rules.
