About the Role
As Senior Licensing Manager, you will manage key licensed programs and brand relationships while supporting the strategic growth of EnVogue’s licensed brand portfolio. Reporting to the Licensing Director, you will partner across Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and Sales to identify whitespace opportunities, expand licensed assortments, strengthen brand partnerships, and drive new ideas. You will also support the Licensing Director in evaluating potential new licenses while ensuring existing programs meet brand standards and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage key licensed programs from concept through production, ensuring brand standards, timelines, and business objectives are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with licensors and brand partners, serving as a key liaison between external partners and internal teams.
- Partner with the Licensing Director to evaluate potential new licenses and brand partnerships, including researching brands, product categories, and strategic fit.
- Review existing licensed brands to identify whitespace, underutilized categories, and new product extensions that can drive incremental business.
- Partner with Sales, Design, Product Development, and Merchandising to develop and maximize opportunities across the licensed portfolio.
- Provide strategic and creative input on licensed product concepts, challenging designs when appropriate and bringing forward new ideas that strengthen assortments and brand alignment.
- Oversee artwork submissions, product approvals, style guide compliance, licensing documentation, submission calendars, royalty requirements, and program timelines.
- Monitor licensing trends, competitive activity, and retail developments to identify new opportunities for licensed brands.
- Prepare licensing reports, presentations, portfolio analyses, and business updates for leadership and licensing partners.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen licensing operations and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive experience in licensing, brand partnerships, brand management, or a related field, preferably within consumer products, home décor, fashion, or a related industry.
- Proven experience managing licensed brands and building strong relationships with licensors and brand partners.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify whitespace opportunities, new product extensions, and areas for growth.
- Experience evaluating potential brands, partnerships, or licensing opportunities preferred.
- Ability to balance creative, brand, and commercial considerations and provide constructive feedback on product concepts and designs.
- Strong understanding of licensing processes, including product approvals, style guides, contractual requirements, royalties, and program timelines.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic, proactive, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple brands, projects, and deadlines.
