Job summary

George, Miles & Buhr, LLC (GMB) is seeking a Licensed Surveyor in Lewes, DE to lead survey projects and manage client relations. The role covers both office and field tasks, supervises staff, and ensures quality and regulatory compliance.

You will guide project management, client consultations, and regulatory presentations, while stamping surveys under supervision and advancing development and infrastructure efforts.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor license required.
• 8+ years of experience in surveying.
• Ability to interpret construction plans, record maps, and boundary procedures.
• Strong knowledge of survey computations and accuracy standards.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work under extreme conditions when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise survey computations, field work, data collection, and CAD drafting.
• Stamp and sign surveys under your direct supervision.
• Consult with clients on surveying issues and project details.
• Provide guidance to field crews and technical staff.
• Oversee preparation of survey plans and flood elevation certificates.
• Conduct deed and map research and review.
• Represent the company at local and state regulatory hearings.
