Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in Austin, TX, is seeking a License and Permit Specialist III. You will perform highly complex licensing work for professional programs, manage applications in Versa, and provide customer support via email and phone. This role requires strict adherence to statutes, rules, and agency policies.

Telework may be available; salary ranges from $3,793.41 to $5,921.25 monthly. A degree is preferred, with strong Microsoft Office and data-entry skills essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft Office products is required.
• Experience providing customer service is required.
• Experience using and maintaining a database system for data entry and retrieval is required.
• At least 6 months of experience interpreting and applying statutes, rules, regulations, or policies and procedures is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process license applications and renewals in licensing database Versa.
• Answer complex inquiries via email and phone using statutes and rules.
• Create and print notices, forms, and reports using Word/Excel/Versa.
• Maintain filing systems and collaborate with Team Lead on workflow improvements.
• Work with other agencies on licensure eligibility and documentation.
