Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Search bibliographic resources to describe content of library materials.
• Create full-level original cataloging records for general and special collections in all languages.
• Edit complex copy cataloging records across formats.
• Create original authority records under NACO and SACO guidelines.
• Apply MARC 21, RDA, LCSH and other LC schemas.
• Stay updated on cataloging standards through listservs and professional development.
• Describe/catalog manuscript materials if directed.
• Identify and resolve complex cataloging problems.
• Assist users and colleagues with access to materials.
• Collaborate across departments within Technical Services.
