Job summary

Charles Taylor seeks an experienced Liability Claims Adjuster to join our team and manage investigations, administration, and settlements for automobile, property and general liability claims. This role requires analyzing coverage, liability, and damages with increasing autonomy while coordinating with clients, attorneys and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in GL claims, familiarity with KY/TN, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling GL claims.
• Experience with KY and TN claims.
• Municipality experience a plus.
• Knowledge of state negligence laws (legal background helpful) is advantageous.
• Experience with medical terminology is essential.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate new claims and initiate timely contacts with clients, their employees, claimants and legal counsel.
• Read and comprehend insurance policies to assess coverage and liability.
• Evaluate liability and damages, and address time limit demands.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys; prepare contracts.
• Maintain MMSEA compliance and provide timely client updates.
