Job summary

Bank of the Orient, an independent Asian Community Bank, seeks a Senior Lending Officer to lead commercial, mortgage, SBA loans, and related services in Houston. You will develop new loans, maintain client relationships, and ensure compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.

You will build a relationship-based sales culture, drive lending strategy to meet revenue targets, and manage a sound loan portfolio while collaborating with key stakeholders and bank partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or related field.
• Advanced degree or certification in related discipline.
• Minimum 7-8 years in business development of commercial, real estate, consumer lending, and SBA loan.
• Minimum 7-8 years with sales and marketing experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment and lending function.
• Comprehensive knowledge of lending principles, practices and services.

Responsibilities

• Source, secure, develop, and retain profitable banking relationships.
• Develops strategy, tactics, and performance goals for lending revenue and deposits.
• Conformity with laws, regulations, and bank policy; ensure credit facilities are properly structured, priced and documented.
• Drive sales activities of the Commercial Banking department.
• Cross-sell products and services to existing clients.
