Senior Legal Systems and Operations Specialist
This role is remote, and the successful candidate will be required to work North American Eastern time zone hours.
We are seeking a Senior Legal Systems and Operations Specialist to join our Legal team reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Global Employment and Procurement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of successfully implementing and managing a variety of Legal IT systems and tools, as well as experience in handling various other technical and operational needs of an in-house Legal Department. Experience with AI Legal tools is strongly preferred.
In this role you will:
- Be responsible for selection, implementation, and maintenance of all IT tools used by the Legal team, including: collaborating with the Legal team to define technical requirements for any new or existing tools; collaborating cross-functionally with IT and others on implementations of new technology or new features, including understanding, communicating, and testing all Legal team requirements; training and enabling Legal team users on all technology, including the specific use-case for their role; and operating as a first point of contact for any issues experienced by Legal team users in utilizing IT tools.
- Manage all Legal Department purchasing, budget, events, and vendor management following Cornerstone's established processes for vendor engagement and purchase requisitioning.
- Assist with maintaining the Legal team's document repository systems, including establishing and following best practices for document management.
- Assist with document signature routing and processing via Salesforce/Docusign integration as well as outside the system, following Cornerstone's signing authority policies.
- Perform clerical tasks including maintaining corporate governance matters for U.S. and foreign subsidiaries.
- Provide administrative support to the Legal team, including the General Counsel's travel and expense reports.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
You've got what it takes if you have...
- At least 5 years of hands-on working experience in an in-house corporate Legal Department (multi-national SaaS or other tech company strongly preferred).
- An AI-first technology lens, as well as practical experience implementing and managing common Legal tools, such as Docusign, SharePoint, AI contracts review tools, and other Legal IT technologies.
- Practical experience representing a Legal team in company-wide IT implementations, including in communicating Legal team requirements and ensuring they are addressed, as well as in completing User Acceptance Testing on behalf of the Legal team.
- Prior experience in training Legal Department users on Legal IT technologies and encouraging adoption - experience with change management best practices will be strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with colleagues within the Legal team as well as with other internal stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including fluency and proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Consideration and experience in navigating privacy, security, and AI obligations.
