Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Senior Legal Practice Manager to oversee the business operations of a large, complex practice across multiple teams. You will align billing, matter management, and administrative functions with strategic goals while leading a cross-functional team to deliver exceptional client service and efficiency.

With a focus on strategic planning and performance measurement, you’ll work with partners, finance, and practice management leadership to optimize workflows and profitability

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
8+ years of experience in legal operations, practice management, or professional services.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with matter management systems and billing processes.

Responsibilities

Oversee pitch and proposal activity, matter opening, budgeting, and client guidelines.
Monitor WIP, billing, collections, and profitability metrics for the partner portfolio.
Coordinate with billing teams for timely invoicing aligned with client requirements.
Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver client service and operational excellence.
