Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Specialist Legal Editor for Practical Law’s Capital Markets & Corporate Governance team in the US. You will craft and maintain startup-focused legal know-how, monitor market developments, and help shape AI-driven editorial tools by collaborating with product teams.

You bring eight+ years as a capital markets lawyer, strong writing skills, and a passion for AI applications in legal practice, with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the US.

Qualifications

• JD required.
• Minimum of eight (8) years' experience as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house with startup experience.
• Strong technical skills and ability to use AI tools to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Adaptability to diverse projects and AI space.
• Interest in AI and legal practice, with desire to build prompt engineering skills.
• Understand US startup laws and needs of law firms and in-house teams.
• Clear, concise legal writing in plain English.

Responsibilities

• Researching, drafting, and maintaining practical legal know-how for startups across Practical Law and Thomson Reuters products.
• Monitor legal developments affecting startups to keep content current.
• Support AI-powered tools development and integration into editorial processes.
• Collaborate with Product Management to innovate tech and AI features.
• Develop external relationships with law firms and industry groups to reflect market practice.
