Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Legal & Compliance department as the senior advisor for the TeraWave business unit, providing expert counsel on complex commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management in satellite communications.

You will draft and negotiate customer master service agreements, SLAs, licensing, and procurement contracts; coordinate with regulatory teams on FCC licensing, ITAR/EAR, export controls, and data privacy, and partner with

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, including significant in-house or technology-focused practice.
• Experience drafting/negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements related to satellite/ connectivity services.
• Familiarity with FCC licensing, export controls (ITAR/EAR), ITU considerations, and data privacy for network services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor to the TeraWave unit on commercial transactions, regulatory matters, and operational legal issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and technology agreements (MSAs, SLAs, licenses, procurement).
• Coordinate with regulatory counsel on satellite/telecom/space operations and export controls.
• Partner with engineering, product, sales, operations, and government affairs to manage legal risk and develop scalable templates and playbooks.
