Blue Origin seeks a Principal Legal Counsel to lead legal strategy for the TeraWave unit, serving as a trusted advisor to engineering, product, and operations teams on complex commercial matters and regulatory compliance. The role requires extensive in‑house or tech‑focused experience and expertise in telecom regulations.

The position emphasizes cross‑functional risk assessment, scalable contract playbooks, and pragmatic counseling to balance legal risk with business objectives.

Formación

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 12+ years of relevant legal experience in technology, telecom, or related fields.
• Demonstrated expertise drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements for satellite/communication services.
• Familiarity with FCC licensing, ITU coordination, ITAR/EAR export controls, and data privacy considerations.
• Ability to translate legal risk for engineering, product, and operations teams.
• Proven project management skills and experience managing outside counsel.

Responsabilidades

• Advise the TeraWave unit on day‑to‑day commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex customer, procurement, and technology agreements.
• Coordinate with regulatory counsel on FCC licensing, spectrum, ITU, export controls, and data privacy requirements.
• Partner cross‑functionally to identify and manage legal risk across engineering, product, sales, and government affairs.
• Develop scalable templates, playbooks, and processes to support growth.
• Monitor evolving satellite, connectivity, and space‑operations regulations.
