Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Seattle area seeks a Principal Legal Counsel for the TeraWave unit. You will advise on complex commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, and risk management across satellite connectivity services.

The role partners with engineering, product, and sales to enable safe and scalable growth. Qualified candidates have 12+ years in technology-focused law, license/regulatory expertise, and a practical, business-minded counseling approach.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar membership in good standing.
• 12+ years of relevant legal experience in technology, telecom, or space services.
• Experience drafting commercial and technology agreements for satellite/telecom projects.
• Familiarity with FCC licensing, ITAR/EAR, export controls, and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor to the TeraWave unit on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex customer MSAs, SLAs, and procurement contracts.
• Coordinate with regulatory counsel on FCC licensing, spectrum, ITAR/EAR and data security considerations.
• Partner with engineering, product, sales, and government affairs to manage risk and drive business objectives.
