Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its North American operations. You will provide broad legal guidance, draft and negotiate complex contracts, manage disputes, and work with cross‑regional teams to implement governance and compliance programs.

The ideal candidate has a J.D. from an ABA‑accredited school, NC or state Bar admission, and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including product liability and commercial litigation expertise.

Qualificações

• Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the North Carolina Bar or another State Bar.
• At least 8 years of experience directly related to the responsibilities of the role.
• Experience providing legal advice regarding product liability matters and commercial litigation.
• Strong judgment, business understanding, and ability to assess risk and provide practical solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice and counsel across a broad range of legal and business matters while managing disputes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across multiple business units.
• Participate in risk reviews and support risk management activities.
• Identify emerging legal issues and develop practical strategies to support business priorities.
• Support governance activities and help implement Code of Conduct and integrity initiatives.
• Coordinate outside counsel for efficient legal services.
• Deliver legal training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.
• Monitor laws, regulations, and policies to support compliance and protect interests.
