Bank of America is seeking an experienced attorney to support the Private Bank, Merrill, and Consumer Investments teams. The role focuses on advising on client account opening, pre-litigation matters, and disputes affecting Private Bank and Merrill businesses.

You will draft and review complex documents, interpret applicable laws, and collaborate with business partners to mitigate risk while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualificações

• Licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one state where Bank of America does business.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant attorney experience in law firm, government, or in-house environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presence when advising senior leaders.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze legal issues affecting consumer banking and wealth management products and regulatory matters
• Provide clear, actionable legal advice including to leadership
• Interpret laws and regulations from compliance and business perspectives
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents (engagement letters, debt agreements, opinions)
• Gather and assess information to form judgments or inferences
• Support responses to government examinations, investigations, and litigation
• Review wills and trust documents under state law
• Deliver practical legal guidance for investment products in fiduciary and Merrill brokerage accounts
• Manage conflicts resolution with regulatory, litigation, and internal investigations teams
