Qualifications

PhD in Chemical Engineering from a recognised university.
Minimum of two years of relevant teaching, research, and/or industry experience.
Strong publication record (2–4 indexed journal publications in ISI/Scopus Q1 and Q2) within the last five years.
Proven ability to secure external research grants as Principal Investigator, with cumulative value of RM50,000–RM75,000.
SCOPUS h-index of at least 4 will be considered an added advantage.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching delivery, curriculum development, and student engagement.
Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methodologies and effective use of educational technologies.
Active involvement in research, consultancy, or professional practice with evidence of scholarly or industry-relevant outputs.
Commitment to continuous professional development and active engagement with relevant professional or academic bodies.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching through lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
Demonstrate expertise in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, decarbonization, and sustainable engineering design.
Contribute to curriculum design, review, and enhancement to align with accreditation standards.
Develop engaging teaching materials using digital tools and pedagogical approaches.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Mentor and advise students for professional development.
Uphold teaching excellence aligned with university standards.
Engage in scholarly research and publish in indexed journals.
Participate in securing external research grants as PI/Co-Investigator.
Engage with industry and external partners for interdisciplinary research.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and administration to support programmes.
