The candidate will design and deliver courses, mentor colleagues and postgraduate students, supervise PhD research, and contribute to curriculum development and institutional excellence.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechatronics Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant teaching, research, or industry experience.
• Strong publication record with 5–7 indexed journal publications (ISI/Scopus Q1–Q2) in the last five years.
• Proven ability to secure external research grants as Principal Investigator with a cumulative value of RM150,000–RM200,000.
• Scopus h-index of at least 8.
• Experience supervising and graduating at least two PhD students as main supervisor.
• Proven experience in curriculum design and pedagogical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to academic leadership in teaching and learning, including curriculum innovation and programme development.
• Design, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching materials; conduct lectures, tutorials, and assessments.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues and postgraduate students in teaching and learning strategies.
• Supervise postgraduate research and promote scholarly teaching and continuous improvement.
• Engage in governance and administration within the department, school and faculty.
