Qualifications

• Earned master’s degree in event management, hospitality management, hospitality administration, or a closely aligned field.
• At least three years of professional event management industry experience.
• Excellent teaching and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses within the Event Design and Experience Management curriculum and related Hospitality courses.
• Teach graduate courses when qualified to do so.
• Lead and execute signature student-led events and experiential learning activities.
• Incorporate current event technologies and industry practices into courses.
• Develop partnerships with event, hospitality, tourism, and related organizations for projects and opportunities.
• Support student recruitment, retention, and enrollment growth.
• Mentor students and participate in committees and service activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on academic and experiential initiatives.
• Teach primarily at the UNT Denton campus with possible Frisco campus assignments.
