The successful candidate combines deep subject matter expertise with strong analytical and consulting skills. They can interpret complex regulatory requirements, translate them into practical business processes, and influence partners across Legal, Compliance, Payroll, Total Rewards, Business HR, Technology, and vendor organizations. They are recognized as a trusted resource who can balance operational excellence with continuous improvement, helping drive a consistent, compliant, and employee-centered leave and accommodations experience.

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including 5+ years supporting complex leave of absence and workplace accommodation programs.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying federal leave and accommodation requirements, including FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, USERRA, and state paid family and medical leave programs.
  • Proven experience managing complex and escalated employee situations requiring judgment, risk assessment, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience identifying operational gaps, developing business requirements, creating standard operating procedures, and implementing process improvements that improve compliance, efficiency, or employee experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data, trends, audits, and case insights to identify root causes and drive operational improvements.
  • Experience partnering with Payroll, Legal, Compliance, HR Business Partners, Benefits, and third-party vendors in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Experience working with HRIS and case management platforms such as Workday, ServiceNow, or similar systems.

  • Apply expert knowledge of federal leave and disability accommodation requirements, including FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, USERRA, and applicable state leave laws, to support complex case resolution, policy interpretation, operational decisions, and process design.
  • Analyze and coordinate interactions between federal leave protections, state paid family and medical leave programs, company policies, disability benefits, payroll processes, and vendor administration to ensure consistent and compliant employee outcomes.
  • Communicate and consult with employees, managers, business leaders, Payroll, Legal, Compliance, Total Rewards, Business HR, and vendor partners to resolve complex leave and accommodation issues.
  • Build overall team capability through training, knowledge sharing, and documentation of action(s) taken on complex cases.
