Job summary

Unum Group is seeking a Senior Accommodation Specialist to manage ongoing relationships with employees requesting leaves and Employer contacts. You will deliver training, mentor new specialists, and ensure clear understanding of Unum communications, processes and benefits.

The role requires experience with disability and leave management, FMLA/ADA knowledge, and the ability to coach others through complex cases and RTW plans, while staying current on state privacy laws and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, relevant business experience.
• 12 months experience as Accommodation Specialist.
• Applies knowledge to support moderate/complex cases in disability management, leave management, workers compensation administration, clinical and/or vocational rehabilitation, disability case management, or human resources.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource for HR regarding leave policies, FMLA, and STD/LTD claims management.
• Mentor and coach new and existing Specialists on workflows and processes.
• Identify and resolve escalated customer issues and leave-specific questions.
• Lead collaboration with employers, vendors and administrators to implement RTW plans.
