Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Lease Analyst based in Deerfield, IL, onsite four days a week. You will guide internal teams and a third‑party provider, ensuring landlord compliance, maintaining and auditing lease expenses, and implementing new leases and modifications in a SOX‑compliant environment.

You will work with Real Estate, Finance, Tax, and Legal teams to manage obligations across locations, including stores and corporate sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, business management or auditing; or High School Diploma with at least 4 years of experience.
• Experience communicating both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences.
• Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Approves disbursements for lease-related expenses and verifies payment accuracy. Resolves escalated billing issues with Landlords and Property Managers.
• Interprets lease language, abstracts leases, and summarizes payment obligations across departments to ensure proper handling of obligations.
• Audits initial lease setups by Service Provider and approves initial rent payments and monthly lease payments.
• Manages updates to lease dates and terms, including modifications, extensions, and terminations with Service Provider.
• Audits monthly rent statements and ensures timely reporting of lease payments.
• Provides timely responses to inquiries from landlords, property managers, and internal teams.
