Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Lease Analyst in Deerfield, IL to provide expert guidance and mentorship on lease-related expenses, compliance, and reporting. You will evaluate landlord compliance, audit lease payments, and implement new leases and modifications, collaborating with Real Estate, Tax, and Accounting teams.

The role requires commuting to Deerfield, IL daily and offers progression opportunities within Walgreens' Real Estate function.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting/finance/business management or auditing, or equivalent experience.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various audiences.
Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
Effective time management to handle multiple projects with deadlines.
Customer service experience with internal and external clients; ability to manage relationships.
Willing to travel up to 10% for business (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

Approves disbursements for lease-related expenses and verifies payment accuracy before final approval.
Interprets lease language and abstracts leases to summarize payment obligations across departments.
Audits initial lease setups and payments, ensuring accurate monthly lease payments in the Lease System.
Manages lease dates and terms for modifications, extensions, and terminations with the Service Provider.
Audits monthly rent statements and ensures timely payment reporting to the Lease System.
Responds promptly to landlords, property managers, and internal teams via phone and email.
Works on special projects to improve Real Estate management processes with the Service Provider.
