Driven Brands is seeking a Senior Lease Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team in Charlotte, NC. You will own lease accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation under U.S. GAAP, ASC 842, and SOX requirements.

You will partner with Real Estate, Legal, Operations, and FP&A to validate data, test processes, and support the lease system transition, ensuring accurate reporting and control effectiveness.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ICFR, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, audit support, and control evidence.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Public company or public accounting experience.
• Experience in remediation of material weaknesses or control deficiencies.
• Experience with lease accounting software or systems such as FinQuery, Prolease.
• Experience with ERP/consolidation systems like Oracle or FCCS.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain accounting for operating and finance leases under ASC 842.
• Prepare monthly lease accounting entries, including ROU asset amortization and lease liability activity.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Legal, Operations, FP&A and other stakeholders for lease events.
• Maintain lease accounting schedules and data integrity in ERP.
• Support lease system transition, data validation, UAT, and reconciliations.
• Assist with SOX controls and remediation activities.
• Prepare audit support and respond to inquiries from Internal/External auditors.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
