The Sr. Learning & Development Leader-Trainer is primarily responsible for the successful delivery, execution, and management of all of the Client's training-related needs. The Sr. Learning & Development Leader-Trainer is expected to understand and communicate disease states, marketplace, and product-specific materials, and must possess effective facilitation and communication skills. As a partner to sales, marketing, market access, and medical affairs, you should be a proven strategic thinker and highly competent in account selling skills in complex customer environments.

The Sr. Learning & Development Leader-Trainer will be the subject matter expert to identify training needs, refine and deliver women's health/anti-infectives training, and contribute to the development of new product and engagement skills training. The Sr. Learning & Development Leader will work cross-functionally with the client's marketing brand team and sales leadership to deliver new hire training, advanced skills set training, and support brand initiatives. The trainer will also collaborate with client teams and the Syneos Health Learning Solutions team to develop and support all field-facing roles.

Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to)

Liaison Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand teams to develop, create, and deliver training on business acumen, product knowledge, and selling skills for all products.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to ensure training strategies align with business goals; conduct needs analysis and leverage insights to inform curricula.
  • Maintain communication with Account Managers and sales leadership for coaching and follow-up.
  • Coordinate development of POA and National Sales Meeting agendas and workshops with stakeholders.
  • Perform ongoing needs analysis to identify opportunities, gaps, and development areas.
  • Partner with Field Leadership to assess needs and develop tactics for competency enhancement.
  • Support Field Sales and Management in national meetings, POAs, and other training events.

Design Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs analyses regularly.
  • Create and maintain a Training Plan aligned with client goals.
  • Determine metrics to evaluate training success with Field Sales Leadership.
  • Utilize business software (e.g., MS Office, PPT, Excel) for organizing and analyzing information.

Development Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training curricula supporting core competencies.
  • Oversee content for training delivery, collaborating with content developers/vendors.
  • Engage with Field Sales and Client HQ during content development to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Manage logistics for live training sessions, including scheduling and facilities.

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Implement learning experiences that support high-performing sales teams, addressing current trends in women’s health.
  • Deliver training programs, including new hire onboarding, advanced training, and virtual sessions.
  • Use knowledge of healthcare trends to inform event creation and delivery.
  • Facilitate training in live or virtual environments ensuring objectives are met.
  • Evaluate participant proficiency and provide feedback.
  • Distribute post-event evaluations and reinforcement tools to sustain behavioral change.
  • Provide facilitator training and support as needed.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty sales experience.
  • At least 2 years of pharma sales training experience.
  • Expertise in women’s health or anti-infectives is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; instructional design certification is a plus.
  • Remote position with travel for meetings and training sessions.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Veeva, and Concur is preferred.

The annual salary ranges from $145K to $150K, based on qualifications and experience. Additional incentives may include bonuses or commissions.
