Job summary

CJ Schwan’s in Pasadena, TX is hiring a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to identify, develop, evaluate and implement innovative food processing methods and equipment to increase capacity and improve operations.

You will lead Lean Six Sigma projects, analyze SPC data, develop ROI proposals, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver measurable cost savings and productivity gains, while driving safety, quality and efficiency improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred.
• 5+ years of process engineering or manufacturing related experience or a master’s degree with 1-2 years in process improvement / development engineering.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and leverage internal and external resources.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet budgets deadlines and achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate waste using Lean Six Sigma and HPO.
• Support development and validation of new capacity and processes.
• Develop ROI proposals with benefits and alternatives for special projects.
• Apply statistical analysis to ensure customer requirements while optimizing operations; evaluate SPC data and use X-bar and R-bar charts.
• Facilitate cross-functional improvement teams and improvement events.
