Job summary

CJ Schwan's Company is hiring a full-time Continuous Improvement Associate to support Erie, North East, and Westfield facilities. Reports to CI Manager and collaborates with Manufacturing Manager and leadership to drive operational excellence.

Starting pay is $23.00 per hour. This role offers opportunities to implement lean initiatives, track performance, and lead improvement projects across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related field is required.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year of continuous improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, capacity and productivity.
• Create centerline targets and develop control strategies for optimal operations.
• Assist in creating reports on factory performance and improvement activities.
• Lead or participate in production trials to eliminate waste and improve capability using lean tools.
• Participate in the DMS process and lead development of visual factory with 5S, metrics, and boards.
• Train on best practices following the Lean, Use, Teach, Inspect method.
• Use project management tools to define requirements, milestones, track progress and communicate actions.
