Job summary

Detego Health seeks a Senior Lean Operations Specialist to partner with senior leadership, drive enterprise-wide continuous improvement, and apply Lean Six Sigma to boost efficiency, quality, and cost performance. You will mentor teams, develop analytics, and guide change management for sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading large cross-functional projects, creating KPI dashboards, and ensuring governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred; Master Black Belt preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience leading Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
  • Experience in healthcare, health insurance, TPA, claims operations, customer service, or regulated environments preferred.
  • Proven track record of influencing senior leaders and driving organizational change.
  • Experience creating performance dashboards, KPI frameworks, and data-driven solutions.

Position SummaryThe Senior Lean Operations Specialist serves as a strategic partner across Detego Health, leading high-impact continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, scalability, customer experience, and business outcomes. This role leverages advanced Lean Six Sigma methodologies, data analytics, process excellence practices, and change management principles to drive enterprise-wide transformation.The Senior Lean Operations Specialist independently leads complex improvement projects, mentors team members and process owners, facilitates organizational change, and works closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase quality, and optimize operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Continuous Improvement LeadershipIdentify, prioritize, and lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals, strategic priorities, and operational objectives.Partner with executive leadership and departmental leaders to assess business challenges and develop improvement roadmaps.Serve as a subject matter expert in Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, and process optimization methodologies.Advanced Process Analysis & ImprovementLead comprehensive assessments of workflows, systems, policies, and operational processes using Lean Six Sigma tools, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen methodologies, DMAIC, and data-driven decision-making.Identify process bottlenecks, waste, variation, quality issues, compliance risks, and opportunities for automation.Develop and implement sustainable solutions that improve productivity, quality, accuracy, and stakeholder satisfaction.Data Analytics & Performance OptimizationAnalyze operational, financial, quality, and productivity metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Utilize advanced analytics and reporting tools to support decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.Develop dashboards, scorecards, KPI frameworks, and executive-level reporting to monitor outcomes and drive accountability.Project & Program LeadershipLead multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution, stakeholder alignment, and achievement of measurable business outcomes.Establish project charters, define success metrics, manage timelines, facilitate project governance, and provide regular status reporting.Ensure projects deliver sustainable results and support organizational priorities.Change Management & Stakeholder EngagementDesign and execute change management strategies that support successful adoption of process improvements.Build strong relationships across business functions to foster engagement, buy-in, and accountability.Facilitate workshops, process reviews, training sessions, and improvement events to support organizational transformation efforts.Coaching & Capability DevelopmentMentor operational leaders and team members in Lean principles, methodology application, and continuous improvement practices.Facilitate training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to expand organizational process improvement capabilities.Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability across the organization.Operational Excellence GovernanceEstablish standards, methodologies, and governance practices for process improvement initiatives.Monitor sustainability of implemented solutions and recommend ongoing enhancements.Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure operational processes remain effective and aligned with business objectives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related field required.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred; Master Black Belt preferred.Minimum 7-10 years of experience leading Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, business transformation, or process improvement initiatives.Demonstrated success leading large-scale, cross-functional projects and delivering measurable business results.Experience with data visualization and reporting toolsExperience within healthcare, health insurance, TPA, claims operations, customer service, or regulated environments preferred.Proven track record of influencing senior leaders and driving organizational change.Experience creating performance dashboards, KPI frameworks, and data-driven business solutions.Strong understanding of process mapping, workflow optimization, business analytics, and operational metrics.
