Job summary

Harmon, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing leader to supervise production lines, drive lean improvements and ensure safety and quality across all projects. You will mentor teams, interpret blueprints, and lead structured problem-solving efforts to meet daily goals.

The role requires experience in lean manufacturing, strong leadership and the ability to motivate workers while balancing production demands and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
• 5-7 years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Problem solving and continuous improvement aptitude.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Curtain wall industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and accountability of leadership responsibilities.
• Guide others safely through their work tasks.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing tools.
• Lead daily production planning meetings, track and communicate performance metrics and take counter measures on missed goals; escalate problems when needed.
• Communicate clearly and assertively to co-workers.
• Provide prompt and constructive feedback on performance.
• Be proficient in blueprint drawing interpretation.
• Lead by example to motivate and develop the team.
• Train new and current employees; blend in-person and online training.
• Carry out supervisor responsibilities within Harmon policies.
• Balance line staffing and ensure production goals are met.
• Participate in the Culture Committee and drive organizational culture goals.
• Meet daily production goals and monitor lines for performance.
• Address delays with root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Lead daily Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings with assigned employees and leaders.
• Monitor hour-by-hour performance and safety/quality standards.
• Lead and participate in kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with CNC Programmer and ensure proper workflow.
• Develop best practices for efficient project flow.
