Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineer to develop methods and sequences for complex machined parts and assemblies, partnering with manufacturing, design engineering, quality, and customer service to meet design and quality requirements.

You will drive manufacturability input, create manufacturing plans, and lead continuous improvement initiatives under Lean Manufacturing principles, including setup reduction and Kaizen events, while mentoring junior staff and

Qualifications

Experience in ERP systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, AutoCAD or Solid Edge; 3D modeling is a plus.
Ability to interpret part drawings and assembly drawings.
Strong problem-solving and statistical thinking.
Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and prepare complete processes and routes for manufactured parts to meet/exceed the organizational goals of scrap and lead time.
Evaluate processes by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, machining, materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from machine operators/production technicians.
Determine, design, and implement fixtures and gauges for manufactured parts.
Determine root cause of failures using statistical methods (e.g. DOE, SPC) that may result in changes in design, tolerances, or processing methods.
Work on continuous improvement projects, set-up reduction, TPM, 5S that support Lean Manufacturing.
Evaluate product designs for manufacturability.
Participate in evaluation, procurement, and start-up of new capital equipment.
Develop and manage multiple project plans and schedules for work activities within timing and cost constraints.
Understand drafting standards and GD&T and fully comprehend part drawings.
Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, benchmarking.
Provide leadership to others in department, act as prime contact on high level projects, establish goals and mentor less experienced employees.
