Job summary

Seattle Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Superintendent of Student and Family Support to provide executive leadership and districtwide oversight for services promoting student well‑being, safety, engagement, belonging, and success. You will report to the Superintendent and collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to ensure equitable access to coordinated supports.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, public administration, or related field.
  • Significant leadership experience in a large educational or public-sector organization.
  • Experience developing and sustaining partnerships with community organizations and government.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, grants, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for districtwide student and family support, safety, and well‑being initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee an integrated framework linking intervention, discipline, safety, health, and family engagement.
  • Guide partnerships with city, community organizations, and external partners to expand services for students and families.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and district priorities while driving equity and student success.
  • Lead organizational capacity building, strategic planning, and performance measurement across departments.
