Job summary

United Nations seeks a senior executive for the Chief, Political Affairs and Advocacy Branch. You will lead political affairs, strategic advocacy and high-level engagement with Member States, regional groups and senior officials, while advising the Executive Director and Chief of Staff on geopolitical developments and policy implications.

You will coordinate with UNFPA offices, ensure timely political analysis, and supervise a team to deliver evidence-based engagement strategies and follow-up

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in political science, International relations or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive international experience in political affairs and diplomacy.
• Experience advising senior leadership in international organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic political advice to UN leadership and executive team.
• Coordinate executive-level engagement with Member States and high-level actors.
• Oversee political briefs, country profiles and stakeholder analyses for decision-making.
• Lead development of engagement and advocacy strategies across diverse contexts.
• Ensure alignment of political engagement, advocacy and communications.
