Job summary

Idle CE Primary School is seeking an Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, SEND and Safeguarding to join our Senior Leadership Team. This permanent post, 0.8 FTE or 1.0 FTE, is non-class-based and focuses on strategic and operational leadership across the school.

You will lead SEND provision, act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and nurture The Hub as a core provision, working with families and external agencies to secure outstanding outcomes for vulnerable pupils.

Qualifications

• Holds NASENCO qualification or is willing to undertake it.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusion and safeguarding.
• Experience leading provision for pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Proven track record of working with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead inclusion, SEND and safeguarding strategies across the school.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Develop The Hub as a provision for pupils needing extra support.
• Shape the school's vision for inclusion within the Senior Leadership Team.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
• Support staff in adaptive teaching and inclusive practices.
